The Alliance of National, State and Municipal Organizations for Social Justice from San Quintin, Baja California, Releases the following
COMMUNIQUE
To the social, labor union and human rights organizations
To the groups, collectives and people who struggle against oppression and exploitation
To the media
To the people of Mexico and the World
After the farmworker uprising that took the shape of a general strike that started on March 17th and the subsequent marching caravan that toured all of the municipalities of the state of Baja California {Ensenada, Rosario, Tijuana, Tecate and Mexicali}, informing all of the people along the way and exposing the disinformation and lies that the state government spread about our movement; we have proven that we have the support of organizations, groups and people from all parts of the state, the country and the rest of the world.
This is why we want to give our deepest appreciation on our own behalf, and on the behalf of the thousands of farmworkers who are now struggling, we want to extend a fraternal embrace and offer you the only thing we have for sure: our resolve to struggle, to not be defeated, to not betray the confidence that you have given us with your support.
We also want to make a call to let you know that we will mobilize together on the 10th of April, in loving memory of the death of our General Emiliano Zapata. We call for others to mobilize with us in whatever way you can in solidarity with our movement. We have also designated this day with our sibling organizations in the United States as the initiation of a boycott against Driscoll’s and against the companies that make a profit based on the exploitation of our labor power.
Our contribution, this 10th of April will be a march through our Valley of San Quintin and we will continue to link our struggle with that of the parents and families of Ayotzinapa, with the teachers, the workers, the farmworkers, with all of the peoples and all of the struggles for justice and against exploitation and oppression.
Fraternally Yours
The Alliance of National, State and Municipal Organizations for Social Justice
For a new future, for a new Mexico
